Botanical Garden of Cluj

Botanical Garden of Cluj is for me one of the most diverse gardens in Romania. On an area of almost 14 hectares, more than 10,000 species see the seasons changing. Trees, flowers, shrubs, ferns and so on.  Of course, depending on the season, you will miss some plants, so choose the best time to go, spring and summer. The early fall can also offer beautiful colors.

The heart of the complex, greenhouses, are truly admirable! The layout is reminiscent of the laboratory of a witch who will prepare his concoctions. A tower is also available to come face to face with the treetops, which are very diverse.

For information, the garden was officially founded in 1920 by Professor Alexandru Borza, and it is to this day the place of study from the University of Cluj.
